Formerly known as Gazzarri's, The Key Club was initially run by Bill Gazzarri. Dubbed “The Godfather of Rock and Roll”, Gazzarri was an iconic Sunset Strip figure until his death in 1991. Gazzari's would eventually close in 1993 before suffering irreparable damage in the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
In 1995, construction began on a new building that would open a year later as Billboard Live before becoming The Key Club in 1998.
SHP promoted shows at The Key Club from 2002 until its closing in 2013. From Kendrick Lamar to J. Cole to Bootsy Collins, The Key Club's stage provided an unparalleled backdrop for hundreds of SHP shows.
